Care Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Bluebird Care. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care. If you are passionate about making a difference in people's lives and have a caring and empathetic nature, we would love to hear from you

The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure they feel confident and equipped to perform their duties to the highest standard. We offer a competitive salary of £12.48-£14 per hour, paid travel time, mileage reimbursement, and a range of benefits, including access to funded Blue Light Card membership and 28 days' paid holiday (pro rata).

About the Role
  • Assist with personal care duties, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Administer medication as required
  • Perform manual handling tasks using equipment where necessary
  • Promote customer health and wellbeing through supportive companionship and help with activities/appointments
  • Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals
  • Conduct shopping and domestic tasks around the home
Requirements
  • A valid UK driving license
  • Access to a car/vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK
  • No experience is necessary as full training is provided
  • An excellent level of English
