We are seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Leader to join our team at Spire Healthcare. Based in Worcester, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading healthcare provider and contribute to the success of our procurement operations.

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our catalogue management team, ensuring the highest standards of governance and maintenance of our product catalogue. This role involves working closely with our procurement category teams and suppliers to deliver best value from transactional supply agreements.

You will have extensive experience in managing catalogues and/or master data, preferably using ERP systems such as SAP. Your analytical thinking, decision-making, and report-writing skills will enable you to effectively prioritise tasks, manage projects, and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain accurate product master data
  • Develop and implement processes for adding, amending, or deleting products from the catalogue
  • Collaborate with procurement category teams and suppliers to drive cost savings and efficiency benefits
  • Utilise data and reporting to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Liaise with the Expediting team to ensure optimum stock levels are maintained in our National Distribution Centre
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in procurement, ideally with experience in managing catalogues and/or master data
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience of using ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • A full driving license, as this role may involve occasional travel to other Spire locations and/or supplier visits
