Job Description

This varied role combines stock control and maintenance planning, providing an exciting opportunity for a candidate with experience in either or both areas to grow and develop their skills.

  • Manage routine maintenance tasks and site engineering stores facilities
  • Effectively manage designated stores in terms of stock levels and housekeeping
  • Collaborate with Production and Engineering Managers to plan and purchase stores stock and equipment

Key responsibilities include communicating with suppliers, placing orders, managing inventory, controlling spending, using IT systems to plan work and orders, and reporting on engineering spend.

Requirements and Qualifications

We are seeking a team player with experience in stock control/stores or maintenance planning, preferably within an Engineering or Manufacturing company. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience of using computerised stores/stock control systems
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Suitable candidates will have a proactive approach, be able to think outside the box, and offer ideas on how to improve processes.

Working Environment

This role offers flexibility in working hours, with some scope to start earlier and finish earlier. The location is commutable from various areas around Guildford, Crawley, Horsham, Leatherhead, Dorking, Epsom, Farnham, and surrounding regions.
