Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant Media Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our Creative Arts team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in media education and a passion for inspiring students to explore their creative potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead lessons and one-to-one sessions in Creative Media, promoting teaching and learning and interest in the media
- Develop and support students using media resources, including photography and filmmaking
- Support staff in recording and evidencing student work, including management of photography and media video and music files
- Work with the Head of Creative Arts, Pathway Leaders, and Class Teachers in developing arts-based events and productions
- Provide creative ideas and solutions within the team to support growth and development of teaching and learning within the department
- Provide media support for school meetings, including visuals for the half-termly reflection
- Provide weekly social media updates for Instagram, X, and Facebook
Requirements:
- Qualified HLTA or unqualified (prepared to undertake HLTA training) with relevant experience
- Relevant media skills and qualifications in media
- Ability to demonstrate a keen interest in media
Working Hours:
Monday 08:30am-16:00pm, Tuesday-Thursday 08:30am-16:15pm, Friday 08:30am-15:45pm, plus 30 minutes per week flexible time
