About the Role

As a Learning Support Specialist, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide exceptional support to students, ensuring they have the tools and encouragement needed to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them with their academic tasks and personal development.
  • Adapt teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Support students during breaks and transitions, ensuring their wellbeing and safety.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to track student progress and contribute to planning and evaluation.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A passion for supporting students with special educational needs and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
