Youth Support Professional

Job Description:
A Children & Youth Worker is required by Academics Ltd to support the social skills, emotional wellbeing and mental health of students within their school. The school provides an alternative education for children with social & emotional difficulties such as anxiety and school refusal due to developmental trauma and adverse childhood experiences, as well as specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyscalculia.
The successful candidate will work to build relationships with these young people and support them to make positive life choices using de-escalation, positive reinforcement and restorative practice. This role involves giving a tailored education that enables and empowers students to understand that 'great minds think differently', to gain confidence in themselves and progress their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with social, emotional and mental health needs

Requirements:
- Degree in a related field or experience working with young people
- Resilience and an open mind to support students' mental health challenges
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role is approximately £80-95 per day. Additional benefits include the opportunity to work with a team that makes a positive impact on the lives of young people.
