Hotel Operations Manager

We are partnering with a long-standing client to recruit a new Hotel General Manager for a renowned venue on the North Yorkshire coast.
This independently owned hotel offers a blend of guest rooms, apartments, and a superb F&B offering, alongside hosting events.
The successful candidate will benefit from a competitive salary of up to £50,000, a bonus package, and the autonomy to oversee all hotel operations.
This is a full-time, permanent role that does not offer accommodation, so the successful candidate should either live locally or be willing to relocate to the North Yorkshire coast.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage the delivery of Reception, FOH, Housekeeping, and F&B areas of the hotel
- Take a hands-on approach to maintain high service standards across all departments
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation
- Manage and lead the team, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention
- Oversee financial operations such as budgets, payroll, targets, and forecasting
- Play an active role in developing and executing a sales and marketing strategy
- Address and manage any maintenance issues as needed
- Lead regular team meetings and encourage open communication
- Undertake additional duties as required
- Proven hotel management experience in a similar-sized property
- Knowledge of online room booking systems
- Experience in sales for both F&B and rooms
- Strong financial reconciliation and reporting skills
- A personable, professional, and natural leader
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
