We are seeking a Participation Officer to join our Beverley team. This role will play a vital part in our commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for our children and young people.

Requirements

  • Significant professional childcare experience, with a focus on fostering or a related field
  • A relevant qualification or evidence of formal training in childcare, childhood studies, education, social work, youth work, community work, or psychology
  • Experience of building rapport with adults and children with diverse needs and expectations
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and in emotionally challenging situations
  • Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check

Responsibilities

  • Organizing activities and workshops for 'Looked After' and birth children
  • Planning family events and days out
  • Developing close and productive working relationships with colleagues, foster parents, and external professionals
  • Attending meetings with professionals from education, health, and social services to support care plans
  • Assessment, review, and report writing, with clear record-keeping
  • Staying up to date with professional practice standards, legislation, and company policy
  • Providing support and guidance to families and promoting foster placement stability
