Compliance Officer Job Description

The Growth Company is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our Restart programme. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the programme's contractual compliance through methodical and procedural validation of evidence, systems, and data relating to claims and performance submissions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Utilize electronic systems to audit participant and employer data, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  2. Verify and approve financial and performance claims prior to submission to funding bodies.
  3. Work within strict data security protocols, adhering to GDPR principles and suggesting remedial action for non-compliance.
  4. Support audit preparation and facilitation, including internal, external, and quality assurance audits.
  5. Respond to queries through various mediums, maintaining clear and articulate communication.
  6. Ensure confidentiality and professionalism are upheld at all times, setting a positive example.
  7. Liaise with internal and external partners, utilizing various communication channels.
  8. Meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets and deadlines.
  9. Raise payments and purchase orders using internal financial systems.

  2. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential for effectively balancing time and priorities.
  3. Well-developed IT skills, including computerized management information systems, spreadsheets, diary management, and email.
  4. Ability to accurately disseminate information in a clear and concise manner.
  5. A methodical approach and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
  6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Skills Required:
  1. Knowledge of Compliance and audit functions, Risk assessment.
  2. Administrative systems and processes.
  3. History of working in a compliance role or similar position with comparable duties and responsibilities.
  4. Experience of working on publicly funded contracts within the Employment, Justice, or Skills sectors.
  5. Ability to work to challenging targets and key performance indicators.
  6. Flexible approach to work, including willingness to travel where required.
  7. Ability to work under pressure in a highly performance-driven environment.
  8. Strong interpersonal skills to deal with customers, colleagues, and partners.
  9. Willingness to undertake training as required.
