Compliance Officer Job Description

The Growth Company is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our Restart programme. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the programme's contractual compliance through methodical and procedural validation of evidence, systems, and data relating to claims and performance submissions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Utilize electronic systems to audit participant and employer data, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  2. Verify and approve financial and performance claims prior to submission to funding bodies.
  3. Work within strict data security protocols, adhering to GDPR principles and suggesting remedial action for non-compliance.
  4. Support the preparation and facilitation of various audits, including internal, external, and quality assurance.
  5. Respond to queries through various mediums, maintaining clear and articulate communication.
  6. Ensure confidentiality and professionalism are maintained at all times, setting a positive example.
  7. Liaise with internal and external partners as necessary, utilizing various forms of communication.
  8. Meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets and deadlines.
  9. Raise payments and purchase orders using internal financial systems.

  1. A warm and approachable style is required to build relationships and rapport with colleagues and stakeholders.
  2. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential to effectively balance time and priorities.
  3. Well-developed IT skills, including an understanding of computerized management information systems, spreadsheets, diary management, and email.
  4. Ability to accurately disseminate information in a clear and concise manner.
  5. A methodical approach and attention to detail are necessary to ensure accuracy and quality.
  6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of Compliance and audit functions, risk assessment, and administrative systems and processes.
  2. Experience working in a compliance role or similar position with comparable duties and responsibilities.
  3. History of working on publicly funded contracts within the Employment, Justice, or Skills sectors.
  4. Ability to work to challenging targets and key performance indicators.
  5. Flexible approach to work, including willingness to travel where required.
  6. Ability to work under pressure in a highly performance-driven environment.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills to deal with customers, colleagues, and partners.
