Healthcare Benefits Specialist Position

In this role, you will conduct assessments to determine how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You will produce detailed reports to aid the DWP in making informed decisions about benefit eligibility.

About the Job

The successful candidate will use their clinical expertise to develop and maintain clinical knowledge and assessment skills through ongoing feedback and supervision. This is an excellent opportunity for Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, or Registered Mental Health Nurses to progress professionally while benefiting from flexible working arrangements and a healthier work-life balance.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough assessments to understand the impact of a person's disability or health condition on their daily life.
  • Producing detailed reports to support the DWP's decision-making process.
  • Maintaining and updating clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular training and feedback.
Requirements
  • A valid NMC registration number.
  • At least 1 year of experience in adult or mental health nursing gained within or outside the NHS.
  • Proficiency in using computer software to create detailed reports.
