Our work involves delivering the next warhead for the UK's nuclear deterrent and advancing nuclear technologies that safeguard the nation.
We support the government's strategy in various ways, including:
- Supporting the weapon programme for the nuclear deterrent
- Supporting the UK's counter terrorist programme
- Identifying nuclear tests around the world
- Building a team of experts in nuclear science and technology
As a Project Controls Apprentice, you'll support four key areas: Cost Engineering, Planning, Estimating, and Risk. You'll rotate through various programmes, gaining experience in:
- Project Breakdown Structures
- Schedule Development
- Baseline Management
- Performance Measurement and Analysis
- Business Rhythm
- Cost Forecasting
- Variance Analysis
You'll start in the Skills Academy, developing your basic knowledge and people skills, before progressing to onsite training. You'll apply your core skills in a live working environment and complete academic studies towards a certificate.
About You
- PC literate
- Good communication skills
- Excellent team working skills
- Health and safety aware
Requirements
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including Maths and English
- 2 A-levels preferred, not mandatory
- Aged 18 or over by 31st August 2025 due to security clearance requirements
- British National
