Job Title: Loan Asset Management Associate Director

At Barings, we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence and integrity. We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Asset Management Associate Director to join our Portfolio Finance team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned professional to assist our deal team with onboarding and closing new deals, including reviewing legal documentation and ensuring compliance with Loan Asset Management functions and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist deal team with onboarding and closing new deals, including reviewing legal documentation and ensuring compliance with Loan Asset Management functions and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing servicing and administration functions on loans, including compliance and covenant monitoring, borrower relationship management.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to record collateral data, test compliance metrics, and calculate waterfalls.
  • Collaborate with Treasury & Investment Operations teams to support investments.
  • Develop and improve processes to ensure deliverables are managed to a high standard and within timelines.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of relevant investment, investment operations/support experience preferably with investing or servicing private equity, private real estate, or private credit and lending documents.
  • Ability to develop credibility and build relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate exceptional project/time management, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced-to-mastery use of Excel and proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
