Job Overview:

Our Family Placement Team is seeking an experienced Social Work Professional to join our team as a Foster Care specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with foster carers, preparing assessment reports, and supporting children in need of a family placement.

**Responsibilities and Requirements:**
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and support foster carers
  • Prepare and present home study and group assessment reports to the Fostering Panel
  • Contribute to the planning for children requiring a family placement, liaising with other professional staff and participating in meetings
  • Develop and implement support packages for children and their foster carers
  • Conduct regular supervision visits to foster placements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring confidentiality at all times
  • Monitor local targets for service provision, maintaining records as required
  • Contribute to the achievement of good quality services, adhering to national standards and guidelines


**Working Conditions and Benefits:**
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including flexible working hours, access to training and development opportunities, a generous Local Government pension scheme, family-friendly policies, local discounts, and a wellbeing programme.
