Job Title: Independent Living Scheme Manager

Sanctuary Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Independent Living Scheme Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality housing management service to our residents, ensuring their needs are met and their homes are well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tenancy advice and support to residents, ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities.
  • Promote independent living and signpost residents to relevant agencies and services.
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities and events, fostering a sense of community and social connection.
  • Complete mandatory compliance tasks, including health and safety checks, to ensure a safe and secure living environment.
  • Monitor and report repairs, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and residents are informed of progress.
  • Make wellbeing calls to residents via the warden call system, checking in on their well-being and providing support as needed.
  • Support the lettings team in managing vacant flats, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Provide cover at schemes in the region for other Scheme Managers, ensuring continuity of service.
  • Manage low-level anti-social behavior, working with residents and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
Requirements:
  • Numeracy and literacy skills to the equivalent of GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • Experience of working with older people and understanding their individual needs.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills.
  • Experience of using housing management software.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A full valid driving license, as occasional travel may be required.
