Teaching Assistant - ASD Support

EDEX is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant - ASD Support to join our team at an Outstanding Primary School in Lewisham. As a Teaching Assistant - ASD Support, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Autism and other Special Educational Needs, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with ASD requirements across EYFS, KS1 & KS2.
  • Develop and implement creative activities to engage pupils and promote their learning.
  • Collaborate with specialist teachers, therapists, and inclusion staff to deliver tailored programmes and support.
  • Contribute to maintaining a well-organized and safe classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Passion for education and creating an inspirational environment for all pupils to flourish.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative activities to engage pupils.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and pupils.
