We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team at Adecco. As a key member of our finance team, you will provide administrative support to our finance operations, ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the administration of devolved budgets, financial estimates, and general financial matters, ensuring accurate recording and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Prepare management information, monthly reports, and statistics to support financial decision-making.
  • Research, extract, manipulate, and analyze data to compile comprehensive management reports and audits.
  • Place orders for goods and services via our finance system, ensuring timely delivery where required.
  • Check and scrutinize delivery notes, receipt goods, and code relevant invoices for payment.
  • Raise invoices by checking and calculating payment and forwarding to appropriate parties.
  • Maintain required on-site cash services, making cash payments, issuing receipts, and ensuring prompt banking and regular cash balancing.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and cash accounts, monitoring bank accounts and processing urgent payments as needed.
  • Analyze and reconcile credit card expenditure and process recharges onto our finance system.
  • Maintain stationery stock and order replenishments to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
  • Process police and police staff overtime, expenses, and mileage claims, ensuring accurate completion, proper authorization, and coding in accordance with regulations and deadlines.
  • Provide advice and support in resolving financial queries, including overtime, enhanced pay, unsocial hours, travel, and expenses, in accordance with organizational policy and legislative compliance.
Requirements
  • Hold GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or equivalent in mathematics and English Language, or relevant work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and databases, with the ability to present information concisely and accurately.
  • Ability to assess new information, reorganize, and meet changing priorities and new work streams.
  • Effective communication and professionalism in verbal and written interactions with people at all levels.
  • Ability to manage customer expectations and work using own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and flexible approach to working under tight deadlines and responding to changes at short notice.
  • Proficient in general administration and customer service.
