Exciting Sales Engineer Opportunity

Personnel Selection is proud to be partnering with a dynamic SME Engineering business in Salisbury to recruit a Sales Engineer on a full-time and permanent basis. This role offers a fantastic chance to develop your skills and contribute to the company's growth.

The working hours are 8:30 – 5 Mon to Thur, with a 4pm finish on a Friday. There may be some flexibility to adjust these start/finish times. The company offers 23 days leave + bank holidays and a Pension, as well as excellent training & development opportunities.

A technical engineering background is essential, as is the ability to build relationships and handle complex administrative tasks. The role involves working with freight forwarders and export documentation, making it an ideal opportunity for those with experience in this area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with freight forwarders and dispatch teams
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies
  • Conduct customer meetings and provide sales advice
  • Handle incoming sales enquiries and process new customer orders
  • Visit customer sites and provide technical support
  • Upsell products and services to existing customers
  • Manage depot sales paperwork and finance documentation
  • Attend exhibitions and assist with organization
  • Maintain CRM+ and online shop systems
  • Proactively sell and chase new orders and customers
  • Quote for customer requirements and process sales invoices
  • Meet sales targets for spares sales and provide technical support to customers
  • Deliver unit demonstrations and provide technical support
