Exciting Sales Engineer Opportunity

Personnel Selection is proud to be partnering with a dynamic SME Engineering business in Salisbury to recruit a Sales Engineer on a full-time and permanent basis. This role offers a fantastic chance to develop your skills and contribute to the company's growth.

The working hours are 8:30 – 5 Mon to Thur, with a 4pm finish on a Friday. There may be some flexibility to adjust these start/finish times. The company offers 23 days leave + bank holidays and a Pension, as well as excellent training & development opportunities.

A technical engineering background is essential, as is the ability to build relationships and handle complex administrative tasks. The role has a strong focus on export, so experience with freight forwarders or import/export documentation would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with freight forwarders and manage dispatch paperwork
  • Develop and implement company marketing strategies
  • Attend customer meetings and provide sales advice
  • Handle incoming sales enquiries and provide customer support
  • Visit customer sites and provide technical support
  • Upsell products and services to existing customers
  • Manage depot sales paperwork and attend exhibitions
  • Process finance paperwork and manage loading machine and spares sales orders
  • Maintain CRM+ and engage in online networking and promotion of products
  • Manage online shop maintenance and customer enquiries
  • Proactively sell and chase new orders and customers
  • Process new customer orders and provide technical support
  • Quote for customer requirements and manage sales invoice paperwork
  • Meet sales targets for spares sales and provide technical support to customers

We are looking for graduates with a technical/engineering discipline who are eager to develop their skills in a supportive environment. If you have good fundamental engineering knowledge and skills in account management and business development, we would love to hear from you.
