About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Planning Officer to join our team and contribute to the development of our borough. As a Planning Officer, you will be responsible for determining planning applications and delivering high-quality development.
Job Description
As a Planning Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Determining planning applications and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality development and achieve the council's objectives.
- Managing your own case load of planning applications, pre-application advice requests, and other work.
What We Offer
In return for your skills and experience, we offer a competitive salary of £30,077 per annum, plus benefits including 22 days annual leave (increasing to 27 days after 5 years continuous Local Government service), plus an additional day in December. Membership of the Local Government CARE Pension Scheme and options of car or cycle loans through salary sacrifice are also available.
Working Environment
The council operates a flexible working arrangement with a minimum of two days in the office and the opportunity to work at home for the remainder of the week.
