Employment & Liaison Officer

Halton Borough Council is seeking a skilled Employment & Liaison Officer to join our team. As a key member of our workforce, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals back into work, training, and/or self-employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with local employers to identify skills and recruitment opportunities.
  • Act as a key contact for identified skills and recruitment opportunities within these businesses.
  • Undertake targeted business calls to source suitable paid/unpaid employment opportunities.
  • Deliver regular group workshops to provide more intense support for particular job and work experience vacancies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic records of all employer engagement/sales interventions via our in-house CRM system.

  • A competitive salary of £24,294 - £25,979, with pay award pending.
  • A full training and development package.
  • Annual leave entitlement varies according to length of service, ranging from 25 days to 33 days per year, plus eight bank holidays.
