About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Private Secretary to the Chief Operating Officer. This is a unique opportunity to work in a complex and diverse environment, driving cultural and structural change to accelerate mission and deliver growth in churches across the Diocese of Liverpool.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successful strategic and operational leadership, gained in a complex and diverse environment in the private or public sector. They will be a capable financial and budgetary leader, comfortable delivering results within an environment with complex governance and ambiguity.

As a practising Christian, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a clear commitment to the mission of the Church of England and the Diocese of Liverpool. They will be a collaborative team player, able to build effective relationships at all levels, both within and outside their direct sphere of control.

The role will involve supporting, nurturing, and developing a collaborative team of professionals, and providing strategic and operational leadership to drive the Diocese's mission and objectives.
