We are seeking a seasoned expert in cloud infrastructure management to ensure the security and performance of our Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. As an AWS Support Engineer, you will handle escalated tickets from first-line support, resolve complex cloud issues, and contribute to architecture improvements, automation, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of second-line incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Troubleshoot AWS-related issues, including network configurations, connectivity problems, and system performance issues.
  • Manage and maintain cloud-based systems and services on AWS, guaranteeing availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Monitor and maintain the health of various AWS services, such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and VPC.
  • Collaborate with 3rd line engineers, solution architects, and developers to resolve complex issues and implement long-term fixes.
  • Automate routine tasks using AWS tools like CloudFormation, AWS CLI, and Lambda.
  • Develop scripts for system maintenance, automation of incident resolution, and performance tuning using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Maintain and update system documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures related to AWS infrastructure.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Strong knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda).
  • Experience with automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Familiarity with AWS CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Proficiency with Linux or Windows Server in a cloud environment.
  • Solid understanding of AWS security best practices (IAM, encryption, VPN).

Competitive Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per annum
