We are seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Engineer to join our team in Northwich. As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional technical support and resolving IT issues.

This is an office-based position with three days a week spent at our Northwich office (CW9 7UA). We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Job:

  • Provide technical support to clients, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex IT issues, escalating to 3rd line support when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with other support engineers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
  • Document support processes and resolutions for future reference.
  • Communicate regularly with customers to keep them informed of progress.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a 2nd Line Support Engineer or similar role in an IT environment.
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and systems.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, STP).
