Heavy Vehicle Technician

**The Role**
As a Heavy Vehicle Technician at First Bus, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and safety of our fleet.
With a focus on preventative maintenance, you'll diagnose and repair vehicle faults, using your expertise to optimize vehicle performance and minimize downtime.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of heavy vehicle systems, including engines, gearboxes, drive trains, compressed air systems, hydraulic systems, braking systems, steering systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, and basic auto electrics.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of £18.40 per hour, plus a range of benefits including free travel on our buses for you and your family, discounted train travel, and pension scheme membership.
**Requirements**
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent.
- Full Cat B license.
- Experience with heavy vehicle systems, including diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
