Student Development Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Allied Health Professions Development Lead to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing clinical placement capacity for pre-registration students of Allied Health Professions across the Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to work closely with our Director of Allied Health Professions in delivering our ambitious Allied Health Professions workforce strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective lines of communication between the Trust and Universities placing students, providing statistical data and reports to NHSe as required, and leading and ensuring other Allied Health Professions facilitators who are supervising the departmental Allied Health Professions and clinical educators, are supported with disciplinary matters and personal development of the team.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for working closely with the wider Professional Development team to support the delivery of high-quality teaching programs, and for maintaining the high standards of the department by defining and setting individual and team objectives.
About the Role ResponsibilitiesThe Allied Health Professions Development Lead will be responsible for:
- Managing clinical placement capacity for pre-registration students of Allied Health Professions across the Trust
- Ensuring effective lines of communication between the Trust and Universities placing students
- Providing statistical data and reports to NHSe as required
- Leading and ensuring other Allied Health Professions facilitators who are supervising the departmental Allied Health Professions and clinical educators, are supported with disciplinary matters and personal development of the team
- Working closely with the wider Professional Development team to support the delivery of high-quality teaching programs
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also have a strong understanding of the Allied Health Professions workforce strategy and the requirements of the NHSE.
