Job Title: CNC Machine Operative-Nights

Thompson Aero Seating Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operative to join our team on a permanent night shift basis. As a CNC Machine Operative, you will be responsible for operating a range of CNC machines to produce high-quality components, ensuring that production deadlines are met efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components, adhering to quality standards and production deadlines.
  • Take ownership of problem-solving to maximize machine capabilities and eliminate waste during machining, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Lead to discuss improvements to the machining process, consistently raising the bar on standards and leading by example.
  • Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and quality colleagues to constantly raise the bar on process improvement, cost reduction, and standards.
  • Ensure Health & Safety and housekeeping standards are adhered to, maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months CNC experience.
  • Understanding of CNC programming and strategies.
  • Experience of both 3 and 5 Axis Machines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvements.
