Job Title: CNC Machine Operative-Nights

Thompson Aero Seating Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operative to join our team on a permanent night shift basis. As a CNC Machine Operative, you will be responsible for operating a range of CNC machines to produce high-quality components, ensuring that production deadlines are met efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components, meeting production deadlines and quality standards.
  • Be accountable for world-class quality, taking ownership of problem-solving to maximize machine capabilities and eliminate waste.
  • Drive costs out of parts through implementing efficiency and improvement measures, working closely with the Technical Lead to discuss improvements.
  • Liaise with engineering, supply chain, and quality colleagues to raise the bar on process improvement, cost reduction, and standards.
  • Check and maintain machinery daily, ensuring functionality and liaising with the Technical Lead on any machine issues affecting quality and production.
  • Ensure Health & Safety and housekeeping standards are adhered to, maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months CNC experience, with understanding of CNC programming and strategies.
  • Experience of both 3 and 5 Axis Machines, with meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvements, ensuring that all products are produced to the required specifications with a focus on world-class quality standards.
