Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Controller to join our team at Anglian Water Services. The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills, strong communication abilities, and a high level of attention to detail.

About the Role

This is a fast-paced position that requires resilience, ability to challenge stakeholders, and a proactive approach to managing logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling workloads, liaising with drivers and contractors, and ensuring compliance with procedures and legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule weekly workload for routine and non-routine sludge haulage operations.
  • Liaise with drivers and contractors to maintain driver availability information and record daily sickness.
  • Instruct drivers on procedures and ensure they follow all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle condition and downtime.
  • Input load data into the database in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • GCSE level or equivalent education.
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Resilience and ability to challenge stakeholders.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Previous traffic controller or general logistics experience desirable but not essential.
