About the Role

As an Air Traffic Services Assistant at Marshall, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of aircraft movements. You will assist the controllers in providing a safe, expeditious, and orderly flow of aircraft movements, and be required to gain a Meteorological Observers qualification to enable you to prepare and disseminate meteorology observations and aeronautical information for the benefit of controllers and aircraft pilots.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the controllers to provide a safe, expeditious, and orderly flow of aircraft movements.
  • Post-employment, you will be required to gain a Meteorological Observers qualification to enable you to prepare and disseminate meteorology observations and aeronautical information for the benefit of controllers and aircraft pilots.
  • Pass information to other members of staff on Aircraft movements, Flight bookings, Royal Flights, Navigation warnings, and other Airspace activity, and send flight plans and departure slot related messages to external agencies.
  • In the event of an aircraft emergency, you will make 999 calls and follow the ATC Actions within the Airport Emergency Plan.
  • Be required to participate in operating the Air Traffic Services simulator.

Requirements
  • GCSE's/A Levels A-C desirable
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good communication skills.
  • UK driving licence desirable
  • Good colour perception is also a requirement.
  • Multitask and prioritise your work streams.
