This is a challenging and rewarding role for a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychologist to join our team at the Ministry of Justice. As a Senior Forensic Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing expert psychological services to offenders, including risk assessments, treatment planning, and supervision of trainee psychologists.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop effective treatment plans for high-risk offenders
- Provide clinical supervision to trainee psychologists and support their professional development
- Lead on risk management and offender rehabilitation initiatives, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on forensic psychology and risk assessment
- Contribute to the development of policy and procedures related to offender management and risk assessment
- Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to share best practices and expertise in forensic psychology
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a professional background in Psychology, with experience in providing clinical supervision and risk assessments. You will also need to have completed relevant training in effective models of treatment and best practice. Chartered Psychologist status and Full membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) are desirable.
