Qualified Psychologist - Clinical/Counselling/Forensic (Part Time)

Job Responsibilities

We require a Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist who is passionate about helping people with complex mental health needs. You will be working on a part-time basis, with a focus on maximising positive outcomes and recovery for our patients.

Cygnet Lodge Kenton, in North-West London, is a female high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service that provides a care pathway for service users preparing to step down and bridge the gap between hospital stays and community living. Our service uses a recovery-focused model and provides a high level of support.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Work as a team Psychologist within a multidisciplinary team
  • Carry out psychological assessments and provide therapy to individuals and groups
  • Collaboratively develop care plans with the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide training and supervision to colleagues and consultation to teams
  • Evaluate the service, contribute to its development, and carry out clinical research
  • Disseminate outcomes via conference presentations and publications

We are looking for a HCPC registered Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist with experience in a clinical forensic or mental health setting. Preferably trained in complex therapies such as Schema focused, Cognitive Analytical, and DBT. Passionate about working with people with complex mental health needs and capable of treating difficulties such as self-harm, physical and verbal aggression, history of sexual offending, and drug and alcohol problems.
