As part of this expansion, we are investing heavily in manufacturing capabilities and are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead this crucial division.

The Role

As the Executive Director of Manufacturing Operations, you will play a key role in scaling our manufacturing processes to meet the demands of our rapidly growing pipeline of ATMPs. You will grow and lead a dynamic team, driving innovation in manufacturing science, process development, and technology transfer. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our manufacturing operations and contribute to the success of transformative therapies for rare diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the manufacturing operations team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Oversee process development, optimization, and scale-up activities for ATMP manufacturing.
  • Drive technology transfer from research and development to manufacturing, ensuring seamless integration and high product quality.
  • Implement and maintain cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to enhance process efficiency and robustness.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including research and development, quality, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of the company's manufacturing strategy in line with our growth objectives.
  • Represent the manufacturing division in senior leadership meetings, providing insights and recommendations to drive overall company success.
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (Ph.D., MSc, or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing operations, particularly within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record in scaling up manufacturing processes and leading technology transfer projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards for ATMP manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
