The Role

As the Executive Director of Manufacturing Operations, you will lead a dynamic team in driving innovation in manufacturing science, process development, and technology transfer. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing the manufacturing operations team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence
  • Overseeing process development, optimization, and scale-up activities for ATMP manufacturing
  • Driving technology transfer from research and development to manufacturing, ensuring seamless integration and high product quality
  • Implementing and maintaining cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to enhance process efficiency and robustness
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including research and development, quality, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment and successful project execution
  • Contributing to the strategic planning and execution of the company's manufacturing strategy in line with our growth objectives
  • Representing the manufacturing division in senior leadership meetings, providing insights and recommendations to drive overall company success
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An advanced degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (Ph.D., MSc, or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing operations, particularly within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • A proven track record in scaling up manufacturing processes and leading technology transfer projects
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
  • A deep understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards for ATMP manufacturing
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
