This is an exceptional opportunity to become a key member of our Business Intelligence team at Protein Works. As a Senior Engineer, Data Engineering, you will possess a deep understanding of data engineering concepts and be able to apply them using the Google Cloud Platform. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver end-to-end BI reporting projects from initial brief/requirement gathering to data pipeline development (APIs/ETL/ELT/SQL) to visualization
  • Undertake ad hoc BI tasks based on business requirements and priorities
  • Contribute to the day-to-day maintenance and enhancement of the data quality, security, and performance of the Data Lake/Warehouse
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts to generate impactful business insights and analysis
  • Support the Senior Data Engineer in managing the BI ticket system to ensure tasks are resolved in a timely and effective manner
Requirements
  • Demonstrable data engineering experience with an enterprise data warehouse platform
  • Extremely strong SQL skills
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, and Power BI
  • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to influence at various levels
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience with the Google Cloud Platform/Data Stack, including Looker Data Studio, and coding experience with Python, JavaScript, and C#
  • Familiarity with statistical/machine learning/AI concepts and techniques
  • Understanding of data pipeline/orchestration tools such as dbt and dataform
  • Experience with low-code/no-code data platforms
