Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Data Engineer at Protein Works, you will be responsible for managing and delivering end-to-end BI reporting projects from initial brief/requirement gathering to data pipeline development (APIs/ETL/ELT/SQL) to visualization. You will also undertake ad hoc BI tasks based on business requirements and priorities.

Key Skills:

Strong understanding and appreciation of data engineering concepts
Excellent SQL skills
Experience with the Google Cloud Platform/Data Stack
Familiarity with statistical/machine learning/AI concepts and techniques
Understanding of data pipeline/orchestration tools

About the Role:

You will possess an unwavering passion for data and how it can improve business performance. You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and enhancement of the data quality, security, and performance of the Data Lake/Warehouse. You will also assist your Data Analyst colleagues to generate impactful business insights and analysis. Support the Senior Data Engineer in managing the BI ticket system to ensure tasks are resolved in a timely and effective manner. Great at building positive, productive collaborations and teams. Demonstrable data engineering experience with an enterprise data warehouse platform. Extremely strong SQL skills. g Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI. Excel & Google Sheets. Excellent relationship building skills and ability to influence at various levels. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Experience with the Google Cloud Platform/Data Stack including: Looker Data Studio. Coding experience with Python/Javascript/C#. Familiarity with statistical/machine learning/AI concepts and techniques. Understanding of data pipeline/orchestration tools e.g. dbt, dataform. Experience with low-code/no-code data platforms e.g.
