- Lesson Planning: Plan engaging and effective lessons, activities, and tutorials to meet the individual learning needs of your students.
- Teaching and Assessment: Use a range of strategies and follow school policies for teaching, tutoring, and classroom management, ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of your students.
- Progress Monitoring: Assess, monitor, and record the progress of your students, providing clear and constructive feedback.
- Professional Development: Take responsibility for your own professional growth, using outcomes to improve your teaching and student learning.
- Interpersonal Skills: Positively interact with all students, treating them with respect and providing equal opportunities for learning.
- Classroom Management: Create a safe and conducive learning environment, enforcing rules consistently and fairly.
- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Design lesson plans to meet student needs and cover required standards, adopting various teaching strategies to effectively teach the curriculum.
- Assessment and Feedback: Use effective assessment techniques to monitor student performance and identify needs, regularly reviewing the effectiveness of teaching and assessment procedures.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues, communicate effectively with parents and stakeholders, and participate in training and development opportunities to improve teaching.
- Education: Education-related degree required.
- Experience: 2+ years' secondary teaching experience preferred.
- Skills: Ability to build rapport with secondary school-age students, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a demonstrable record of helping students achieve assessment test scores.
