We are seeking a skilled interpreter to provide translation services to various settings in the UK, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations.

As a freelance interpreter, you will work with Language Empire, established in 2001, to deliver high-quality interpreting and translation services to clients across the UK.

This role involves working as a self-employed interpreter, providing services in hundreds of languages and dialects. You will be responsible for interpreting content in the source language and reproducing it with 100% accuracy in the target language.

The job requires

  • Providing face-to-face, telephone, and video interpretation services
  • Interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services
  • Checking the non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence
  • Dealing with highly confidential information
  • Liaising between the service user and service provider

The ideal candidate will have

  • Fluent English and another language
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications in interpreting, translation, or languages
