Veterinary Orthopaedic Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest and background in orthopaedics to lead our orthopaedic service at the Animal Trust clinic in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a diverse caseload of orthopaedic cases, including cruciate repairs, patella luxations, and simple to complex fractures.
- Perform surgeries and consultations, contributing to the high standards of care provided at our clinic.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external referrals to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
- Support the continuous development of orthopaedic practices within the clinic, ensuring the integration of the latest techniques and treatments.
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon, ideally with a post-graduate certificate in small animal surgery or extensive practical experience in orthopaedic surgery.
- Confident performing advanced surgical procedures, particularly in TPLO, CCWO, and fracture management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information to pet owners and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- A commitment to professional development and a passion for veterinary excellence.
A competitive salary package ranging from £38,000 to £67,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
