We are seeking experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support our partner school in Hastings, a purpose-built special school offering a nurturing environment for pupils with SEMH and associated needs.

The school is part of an Ofsted 'outstanding' multi-academy trust and aims to deliver outstanding education and care, focusing on improving emotional, academic, vocational, and physical skills.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with SEMH needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and providing support for pupils with special needs.
  • Setting challenging expectations and promoting self-esteem and independence.
  • Providing feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement.
  • Assisting with the planning of learning activities.
  • Monitoring pupils' responses to learning activities and accurately recording achievement/progress.

Requirements:

  • Devotion and resilience to support children with SEMH needs.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is desirable.
  • Ability to motivate students towards high achievement.
