About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Reliability Engineer - Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Ampa - Legal & Professional Services. As a key member of our infrastructure delivery team, you will play a critical role in maintaining, supporting, and monitoring our existing infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, data, and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Stability and Availability: Ensure the ongoing stability and availability of our systems, including monitoring, maintaining, and supporting systems and software to ensure stability and compliance with technology standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of supported systems and applications, and transfer knowledge to more junior staff members.
  • Event Detection and Resolution: Detect, resolve, and escalate events, conducting root cause analysis and remediation as required.
  • System Insights and Monitoring: Monitor systems availability, performance, capacity, and trends against baseline metrics, and leverage monitoring and event tools to support stabilization and lifecycle management.
  • Change Management: Work with the architecture and project delivery teams to deliver short, medium, and long-term continuous improvement initiatives across our infrastructure and delivered services, in alignment with our firm's vision and ambition.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that all services are appropriately licensed, and assist with tracking and costing license and certificate renewals. Review logs, monitoring solutions, alerts, and other items to ensure that IT systems and services are available, performant, and secure at all times.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience working as part of an infrastructure delivery team.
  • Change Management: Experience in change management and scheduling.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills, including Microsoft solutions (Exchange, AD, SQL, VPN, DNS, DHCP), cloud-based architecture (Azure, Exchange Online, Arc, Intune, Endpoint), virtualization technologies (VMware and Nutanix preferred), Windows Server Infrastructure, HPE Server and Blade Infrastructure, Networking (HPE ProCurve and FlexFabric), SAN technology (ideally Nimble, Alletra, and 3PAR), and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop experience.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to describe complex technical concepts and issues to non-technical stakeholders.
