About the RoleThis is a replacement post for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Medical Psychotherapy, providing face-to-face assessments and psychotherapy psychodynamic treatments. The successful candidate will work in the Regional Department of Psychotherapy, supporting the tertiary psychodynamic psychotherapy outpatient centre.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing face-to-face assessments and psychotherapy psychodynamic treatments
- Teaching and supervision of trainees
- Contributing to strategic leadership within the department
- Offering psychotherapy supervision to doctors and other professions
- Providing reflective practice and other indirect psychoanalytic work to support and develop teams across the care pathway
