Paediatric Ward Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Ward Leader in our paediatric liver, gastrointestinal and nutrition inpatient service. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursing service on Rays of Sunshine Ward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the nursing service on Rays of Sunshine Ward, ensuring high-quality patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the education team to provide training and education to nursing staff.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative practice and proactive management of change within the ward.

Requirements:

  • Registered children's nurse with extensive clinical experience within a comparable paediatric setting.
  • Current NMC Part 1 (Child) registration.
  • Management or leadership qualification or training, or the willingness to undertake this.
