We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Neurosciences Nurse to join our team at Pulse Healthcare. As a Band 6 Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care on our Koala and Possum Wards, which specialize in neurosurgical and neurological conditions in children.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert nursing care to patients with complex neurosurgical and neurological conditions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in paediatric neurosciences
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care
- NMC Registration as a Paediatric Nurse
- Relevant nursing qualification with 2-3 years post-graduation experience
- Assessor or practice supervisor qualification/experience is desirable
- Experience within neurosurgery/neurosciences
- Evidence of ongoing professional development linked to demonstrable competencies
- Excellent understanding of professional and current issues in children's nursing
- Understanding of safeguarding issues according to Trust policies and procedures
- Understanding or evidence of fulfilling requirements for Revalidation
- Understanding of principles of clinical governance (e.g. risk management, audit, quality)
- A minimum of 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays
