Job Title: Commercial Director

As a Commercial Director at AVEDA, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and profitability of our salon business. Reporting to the Sales Director and with a dotted line to the VP GM of the cluster, you will be responsible for managing and developing all salon business activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for the salon channel, working closely with the National Sales Manager and Education Manager to maximize sales opportunities and maintain profitability.
  • Drive the LSS long-term turnaround business model, collaborating with the General Manager to improve performance and profitability, and establishing the salon as a best-in-class inspiration for other salon owners.
  • Strategically plan for the brand's digital goals, including achieving targets for A-Commerce and Flossie, creating key performance indicators (KPIs), and working with the Education Manager to upskill the SDPS in their evolved digital roles.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Salon Partners, ensuring they are supported by the brand to achieve sales and sustainable growth.
  • Drive and report on the Hair Hero Franchise focus and achieve Brand targets.
  • Drive and report on Hair Colour focus and achieve Brand targets.
  • National forecasting of sales and stock to create a strong sell-in/sell-through plan throughout the year in line with Aveda sales targets.
  • Monitor and forecast salon performance and submit learnings.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with top-tier salons, in collaboration with the National Sales Manager.
  • Represent AVEDA and Bumble at webinars and network events as the Head of the Salon division.
Requirements:
  • Implement coaching and development for National Sales Managers and their direct reports (SDPs).
  • Monthly reviews with National Sales Managers on individual salon performance by area.
  • Jointly run SDP sales meetings with National Sales Managers.
  • Continually review National Sales Manager performance, identifying strengths and development areas within the field team.
  • Monthly performance reports and reviews with Sales Director.
