About the Role:

The Depot Manager will lead and manage the depot, promoting commercial success and service delivery to customers. This senior position requires high levels of commercial performance and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop excellent internal and external colleague and customer relations.
  • Develop new business and maximize opportunities, expand customer base, and maintain regular contact with existing clients.
  • Follow up and progress all allocated enquiries and leads in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the A&A CRM is adequately populated and communicate new opportunities with other sales and operational staff.
  • Proactively promote all other Group Services across all sectors.
  • Manage all financial matters of the depot, controlling and monitoring expenditure.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage the P&L and administrative function of the depot.
  • Ensure all works programmes are logistically planned, managed, and executed to promote maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure depot KPIs are met, including depot, staff, and SHEQ compliance.
  • Monitor and identify training requirements, plan and implement training efficiently.
  • Investigate and resolve client concerns and grievances, suggesting and implementing strategies to avoid reoccurrence.
  • Continually review operational practices and planning, highlighting and discussing changes to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Encourage positive staff morale, operating with 'hands on' support for all colleagues.
  • Ensure group HR policies are communicated effectively to and adhered to by the workforce.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have previous knowledge and experience in the waste industry or industrial services, significant finance, sales, and operations management experience, and excellent interpersonal skills.
