Nursery Chef/Cook Position

Culinary excellence is at the heart of our nursery, and we are seeking a passionate and ambitious Nursery Chef/Cook to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 Food and Hygiene certification and a minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role. They will be responsible for preparing nutritionally balanced meals for our children, catering to specific dietary needs, and ensuring the safe and hygienic management of the nursery kitchen.

We are committed to providing a stimulating environment for our children, and our Nursery Chef/Cook will play a vital role in this. They will be expected to instill Storal values in food and hygiene, comply with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-Food Safety, Health and Safety, and Ofsted guidelines.

About the role:

  • Prepare balanced and nutritional meals for all children attending the nursery
  • Cater for children with specific dietary needs
  • Instill Storal values in food and hygiene
  • Ensure the safe and hygienic management of the nursery kitchen
  • Deputise for the Cook in all absences

About you:

  • Level 2 Food and Hygiene certification
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
