Salary: £25-£30 per hour, paid weekly or bi-weekly.
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Therapist to join our team at one of our SEND schools in Mill Hill. The successful candidate will work as part of a close-knit team to provide individualized support to students aged 11-18 with various needs, including Anxiety, Depression, SEMH, and high-functioning Autism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them develop coping strategies and confidence-building skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create personalized learning plans tailored to each student's needs and abilities.
- Participate in therapeutic activities and interventions, promoting social-emotional growth and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Requirements:
* A Child Psychology graduate with experience working with children or young adults with SEND needs (desirable but not essential)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, colleagues, and families
* Valid DBS registration or willingness to apply for a new one
* Availability to commit to a minimum of 12-39 weeks, working 5 days a week
