Teaching Personnel is seeking psychology graduates to take on teaching assistant roles in specialist secondary schools in Manchester. These roles will utilize skills and knowledge from within a Psychology degree, allowing graduates to increase education-based experience.

The schools work with students who have SEN and SEMH needs, requiring additional support to ensure they progress at a steady rate. As a teaching assistant, you will be involved in supporting teachers to monitor behaviour, ensure lessons proceed as planned, and providing individualized support for students.

To be successful in this role, you should:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with secondary-aged children who have additional needs
  • Have some experience working with children
  • Have graduated with a psychology degree or be graduating this year with relevant modules
  • Be available full-time

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Overseas criminal clearance check (if applicable)
  • Permanent residence and right to work in the UK
