Are you a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience with rotating shift patterns and a proven track record in mechanical maintenance?

Our client, a well-established multinational organization, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering Team. With a strong brand and a regular customer base, they are looking for a skilled professional to carry out fault diagnosis and repair of manual handling equipment and maintain and inspect all plant equipment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Carry out fault diagnosis and repair of manual handling equipment and maintain and inspect all plant equipment, including conveyors, heavy-duty pumps, packaging machines, silos, and high-speed processing and material handling machines.
  • Fault find on PLCs (inputs & outputs).
  • Have a proven track record with TIG, MIG & Arc welding, piping & fabrication.
  • Inspect and service all plant & production machinery and equipment in line with OEM minimum standards.
  • Carry out plant safety inspections in line with group fleet policy.

Requirements:

  • BTEC or NVQ Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Have an IPAF & FLT accreditation.
  • Have a confined working space accreditation.
  • Proven track record with diesel engines, gearboxes, braking systems & generators.
  • Proven track record with pneumatic, ARC, MIG & TIG welding, hydraulics, electrical motors, silos, and mixers.
  • Possess a personal basic engineering tool kit (spanners, sockets, screwdrivers, etc.).
  • A flexible approach.
